Fall Trees

BHOLC (Black Hills Online Learning Center) doesn't provide Art or Music (at least for the Kindergarten not sure about with older kids) We could pay for it on our own through K12 but honestly $350 per course per child is just a little too spendy. We are adding them in on our own. Daddy is in charge of the music and I take care of the Art class.

Lego Math

Patterns are not the most exciting Math subject. Bowen enjoyed it a lot more when we moved from working on paper to making the patterns with his Legos.

School Days

It's been such a long time since my last post. Life just gets crazy sometimes. We moved from Nebraska to South Dakota. Loving it here. Small town life is perfect for our family.

The twins are 5 years old now. We had thought about waiting another year since they are a young 5 to start them in a brick and mortar school. Then I came across an article about Online Charter Schools. K12 was available in our area and the curriculum is free. After carefully looking over the courses we decided that it would be a perfect fit for our family. Filled out all of the paperwork online and then the wait began to see if we would be approved. Took a couple of weeks mainly because our local school district was dragging their feet. Got our approval finally and then we waited for the materials to arrive.

Waiting for their books to be delivered

They were just a little excited!

Scooby Cake

I made the kids a Scooby Doo cake for their birthday. It was my first time decorating one and I think it came out pretty good.
